December 4, 2022 - INSCRIPTIONS FROM THE HEART

Prayer is God’s gift which allows me, you and all of us to commune with our Heavenly Father, to seek direction and hear His voice in this demanding and chaotic world.

As a temporary resident here on earth, praying on a daily, regular and continuing basis keeps my feet on the ground. Praying reminds me of my nothingness apart from Jesus Christ my Saviour. Communing with my Lord, sets my heart, mind and eyes to focus on eternal things far more than my temporary shelter, needs and wants. Connecting and submitting my will to God through prayer brings breakthroughs and not breakdown or downfall. Spending more time in prayer brought victories and hope and prevented venting frustrations and anger to the people we love the most.

Seeking God’s direction through prayer in major and minute details of my life resulted in more right decisions complemented with the right direction. We read in James 1:5 ESV, “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.”

I believe in the power of prayer, but there are many more rooms for growth to make prayer my very first thing, my priority as I wake up and my default for getting direction. Let us all make prayer our habit. Time spent in the presence of the Most High God will truly satisfy and bring no regrets, for sure.
