March 23, 2025 - INSCRIPTIONS FROM THE HEART

Chris Ivan Lebrudo

We all have spiritual gifts. As it says in 1 Corinthians 12:7, “To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.” We are all obligated to use them, as the Holy Spirit gave them to us so that we may glorify God through them. I believe that when we use our spiritual gifts, we will be challenged; challenged in a way that we will be brought out of our comfort zone.

When I first became a leader for CHILL youth, I was nervous. Being placed in a leadership position was unfamiliar to me. I was treading in new waters. But as the Holy Spirit prompted me to use my spiritual gifts as a youth leader, I became more and more involved in the youth ministry. This unfamiliar territory became one that felt familiar—one that felt like I should be a part of it.

Sometimes, when the Holy Spirit prompts us to take part in something that uses our spiritual gifts, it may take us out of our comfort zone—challenge us. But in order for this to happen, we first must be willing to serve for Him to use us. When we are willing to be used by God, He may bring us out of our comfort zone, but with His help, He will guide us on each and every step we make, so that we may glorify Him.
