Unwrap Your Gifts 

As a body of believers, we all have them – spiritual gifts. God has uniquely gifted each and every one of us. As we go through our sermon series, I’m hoping and praying you’re stirred up, more and more, into exploring the spiritual gifts God has given us. But how do we discover and use these gifts? 

Firstly, we have to remember that every gift is valuable. Whether you excel in hospitality, teaching, encouragement, or administration -- your contribution matters. Ephesians 4:11-13 reminds us that Christ gave us giftings, "to equip His people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up".  So, if you haven’t already, start by praying and asking God to reveal your gifts. Take the Spiritual Gifts Assessment Quiz! Consider also where your passions and talents intersect with the needs of our church community, they’re never too far apart! Perhaps there's a need in the children's ministry, the worship team, or with our outreach efforts -- and you happen to excel in these areas. Church, don't be afraid to try new things! Volunteer in different areas and see where you discern you are most effective, and even in areas you’re not -- in doing so, you might just discover hidden strengths!  

Remember: serving isn't about seeking recognition; it's about giving God glory and loving others. Spiritual gifts are not for personal gain but for the common good.When we use our gifts to serve, we reflect Christ's character and contribute to the church. Don’t keep it under wraps! Let's work together to unwrap our gifts and together build up God's kingdom!
