October 20, 2024 - INSCRIPTIONS FROM THE HEART

Paul summarized the Gospel message in this way, "If you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 

10:9-10). A simple yet powerful act of faith. All that is necessary is a sincere confession of who Jesus is; as Lord and a genuine belief in His resurrection. 

As believers, our confession of Jesus is more than just verbal affirmation; it is a declaration to those around us, our friends and our families to whom we are aligned with. As we recognize Jesus as the authority of our lives and faith, we submit. It is also Jesus’ resurrection that is foundational to our faith and it is in the conviction that He conquered death and is alive that we proclaim this message of Good News to all who will listen and respond.  

And so as believers, let’s reflect if we have truly confessed in the lordship of Jesus and believe in His resurrection. Because if this truly is the case, we will be moved, to not only tell others. Church, we are called to both confess this truth and to make it known -- so let us proclaim the simplicity of the Gospel. Confess Jesus as Lord and tell others of His resurrection and watch as God works through the message of the Gospel to impact those around us.
