October 20, 2019 - INSCRIPTIONS FROM THE HEART

Right when my siblings and my mom arrived in Canada from the Philippines, we were greeted with a cold breeze, the warm smile of my dad, and a ride to our condo in a red Jeep Grand Cherokee. I still remember the streetlights passing overhead as we complained about the cold. That Sunday of the week we arrived; we went to FFAC. Eighteen years ago, we started attending this church. In this church, I would make friends that I would have until now, and I am so thankful for their lives and influence. Through this church, I came to know the Word of God believed and gave my life to Christ, became a youth leader, a Sunday school teacher, a youth pastor and recently I have had the privilege to preach in the church’s pulpit.  A lot of good has come from this church, although there were also some ups and downs, but God’s grace has sustained us through the times.

As we celebrate our 30th  year, we look back and can’t help but really thank God for how he has sustained His work here at CEAC and as we course the future, it is important to see what is happening now, reading the times, so we can carry it over in the years ahead of doing ministry together. I strongly believe we are now in a time of faithfulness and fruitfulness. There is a hunger for the Word of God; people are coming into the freedom that the Lord has offered through the repentance of sin, surrender of hurts, and the rebuking of lies. We are now in a season of hungering and thirsting more of Him and of His presence, more of the person who blesses than the blessing, and despite what we might experience with our ever-changing times and circumstances, with our human limitations and shortcomings, and with the passing of time, God will always be faithful and good to His church.

To God be the glory!
