Apply Quickly!

Ever walk into a room with purpose and immediately forget why you’re in there? It happens to me randomly and I hope I’m not the only one! See church, we have a purpose here on earth -- to follow Jesus and be His ambassadors. Pastor String and I don’t list out ways to apply the Word of God just for fun. Our hope and prayer is that you will be challenged to apply them in your life (as we aim to do the same) -- immediately! James 1:22-25 states;

22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. 24 For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. 25 But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing

Let’s not forget our identity as Christ followers as we go into the world. Let’s remember that as we reflect, see our face, let’s fix ourselves up -- remember that we’re here for Jesus’ glory, honour, and praise. Let’s not immediately forget -- let’s go out there with purpose! And the Word of God promises us this: that those who put the Word of God into practice, in their doing, they will be blessed.

Apply the Word of God in your life however you can, as Christ followers -- for the glory of God alone. Blessings church!
